Amy:
Get bike shipped out- Cambridge Bicycle- $55 + shipping it at a post office
Giant zip-loc bags at Target for clothes- probably like $5
Pack
Transfer $$ onto my debit card, make online account, store that number you call if someone steals it somewhere safe (aka not on the card!) Josh you should do this too

Josh:
Pack
Get plane ticket home

Both:
Get specifics on who we are seeing/their numbers/their addresses to GPS
Specific things we are going to do. Hotels.

* When this is all done we should put it in our green road trip notebook or just print it. What is the use of collecting all this info if it stays online? lol

* We should make a hard copy of directions too, worst case scenario anything happens to the GPS we aren't completely fucked

1st-May-2015 08:58 pm - Travel Days
country
We need to stock up for travel days. We'll go to BJs beforehand and supermarkets during the trip. We shouldn't buy perishable food until we reach travel days.

Food:
Frappuchino
Water bottles
Bread/cold cuts
Granola Bars
Misc. snacks
Gum (bj sized pack)

We should still go out to eat.. for our sanity and getting out of the car.. but the majority of meals should be from a supermarket so we have more $$ to do fun shit. And not too much McDonalds so Amy can still squeeze her ass into her pants

Comfort:
Fans
iPods/books on cd
laptops/movies/x-ternal harddrive
Nintendo DS and games
Toilet paper (I envision myself in the middle of nowhere despirate enough to pee outside ~A)
Tissues + Allergy pills (Amy)
Paper towels and baby wipes, we are going to spill stuff
Ibuprofen
Trash bags! Or just plastic bags pretending to be trash bags, either way we should put trash somewhere so the car doesn't become a sea of nasty stuff
Umbrellas! One for each of us. What if it is a rainy day and we are out somewhere?
** we should also check weather regularly on the road. i never check weather

Entertainment:
Books on CD (Harry Potter 6 + 7, A Short History of Nearly Everything, Guns Germs and Steel, Life of Pi)
iPod
DS
Laptops w/movies
Maria suggested we make up verbal road games. Like the ABC game where you find something that begins with an "A" on a sign etc. until you go down the entire thing. Or how we play punch buggy/prius/jeep liberty. Smack the other person whenever they see an out-of-state license plate. Lets google stupid shit like that sometime

Day 8: I have my grandma's home phone so we can get her address easily. We are definitely resting the first day. She has a pool at her house we should just relax.

Day 9: UNIVERSAL STUDIOS!

GPS: 6000 Universal Boulevard
Orlando, FL 32819

The lines are LONG. We should bring a deck of cards or some shit to keep us amused during them. Like an hour+ waits. It is sooo well worth it though.

Day 14

Kate goes to Bryant on the 11th, I estimated that we would get there on the 10th so she might want to be with her family/pack/etc. the day before she leaves for school. I'll keep in touch with her though.

Medieval Times! It is in Dallas and shows are going to be at 7:30 PM. It will be $118 for both of us, $98 if we get tickets ahead of time online.

If we can't get in touch with Kate we decided we are just going to take the 8 hour drive to Dallas, relax in the hotel, then go to Medieval Times.

GPS:
2021 N. Stemmons
Dallas, Texas 75207

ROUTE 66: We can get on it from Amarillo, TX. It is not on GPS. We will rely on map books for it. It goes right along where we are going. This is where we will start going on our own way and not what the bitchy British woman tells us.

Days 17-19

Day 17: Rest at Josh's aunt Mary Ellen's. It will be after 2 consecutive travel days.

Day 18: Grand Canyon/Hoover Dam

Hot Air Balloon Tour?! $300 http://www.grandcanyontourcompany.com/balloon.html probably not doing this, soo expensive and we can have a blast just driving there but but I want to link it

Driving Directions to the Grand Canyon: http://www.grandcanyontourcompany.com/dydir.html

I looked at tours, they are all SO expensive and they pick you up at hotels so like it is a long drive in a bus/jeep/whatever and honestly I just want to see the place.

I looked at donkey rides and you need to reserve those 6-8 months in advance. Boo.

Hoover Dam: http://www.hooverdamtourcompany.com/drive.html $29 (11 admission x2, 7 parking) They only have 400 parking spots and the site says they have thousands of visitors :/ cheapest bus tour I can find is http://www.bestlasvegastours.com/product_info.php/cPath/32_43/products_id/37 $80 combined

Day 19: Las Vegas
we need to research what awesome looking hotels there are/cheap shows/slot machines we are able to get into

My uncle told me there is cool architecture in Scottsdale, AZ. taliesin west? I'm too lazy to see how out of the way it is, I just wanted to record it
